N*Sync - “Girlfriend”
Throwback Thurs! Yup.
My current mind state.
“My mind saying give it up, the people saying don’t go. It’s easier to leave when you aint got no dough…. They think me and these other rappers have something in common. God bless em. Amen. I aint stessing. I’m all in. They in Lois’ lane, I’m Clark Kent…. Most of all I need to exist in the 4th dimension…. You know how much my family expect from me? Especially considering I’m literally chasing a dream.”

Capital Steez | ‘Apex’
It has been a few months since we received the sad news that the Pro Era emcee, Capital Steez, was sadly no longer with us on this Earth but since the loss, we have previously been treated to an unreleased music by STEEZ called ‘135’. This time, the Pro Era crew treat us to a short video for the ‘AmeriKKKan Corruption Reloaded’ cut titled ‘Apex’, which dropped yesterday, commemorating the release of ‘AmeriKKKan Corruption’ one year after the release. Give this a spin and enjoy.

Throwback Thursday - Kendrick Lamar - Section.80 ‘
This was the debut studio album from Hip-Hop artist Kendrick Lamar I call him an Hip - Hop artist because he offers listeners the different layers of the Black/Hood experience in America right now. He starts with Fuck your ethnicity which to me means that he wants people to forget difference and embrace our similarities as being humans. I also think it is a subliminal record for people of color to embrace their blackness, Race Theorist Lewis Gordon argued that black people or people pf color would rather shone light on their other ethnicity’s like (Native American, European, Asian, West Indies) than their African roots. Kendrick Lamar wants people to embrace themselves, “show your pain”, talk about your experience in the “post race” generation of today. This album incorporates old and new hip hop and rap to make a classic authentic Hip - Hop album! Kendrick is a poet, story teller, musician, persona, sage and Hip - Hop.
Enjoy Musical Hipsters, Hip-Hop is very much Alive
